Metropolitan Peace Initiatives (MPI) Chief Program Officer Domonique McCord has been selected to join Leadership Greater Chicago’s (LGC) 2025 Signature Fellowship Program.

Summertime Chi was in full swing as Project H.O.O.D. hosted “Summer Jam” as part of the Light in the Night initiative, a Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) program aimed at reclaiming public spaces. The event took place Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in Woodlawn.

The Metropolitan Peace Academy (MPA) is now accepting applications for inaugural cohort of the Metropolitan Peace Academy Management and Supervision Fellowship. This six-month training program is for current mid-level management community violence intervention (CVI) leaders who are seeking professional development in this rapidly growing field.

“CVI is where it’s at,” said Governor J.B. Pritzker at the announcement of an historic investment into a public-private partnership to mitigate gun violence in the state of Illinois.

Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) is proud to officially welcome two new organizations to the collective — Public Equity and Think Outside Da Block. These groups join 13 other community-based and citywide organizations dedicated to helping heal Chicago’s communities experiencing the highest levels of gun violence.
