PHOTOS: Strides for Peace’s 2025 Race Against Gun Violence

Runners, walkers, and Community Violence Intervention (CVI) supporters gathered in Grant Park on Thursday, June 5, for Strides for Peace’s 2025 Race Against Gun Violence. The race, which coincides with National Gun Violence Awareness Month and Peace Week Chicago, is an annual event that raises critical funding to support the life-changing work of community organizations working to end gun violence in Chicago.
Staff representing Metropolitan Peace Initiatives (MPI) and organizations from Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) were all in attendance for 8k and 5k runs as well as a two-mile walk.
