MPI Chief Program Officer Domonique McCord Joins Leadership Greater Chicago’s 2025 Signature Fellowship Program
Metropolitan Peace Initiatives (MPI) Chief Program Officer Domonique McCord has been selected to join Leadership Greater Chicago’s (LGC) 2025 Signature Fellowship Program. She, along with 44 other cross-sector professionals, will represent the 40th class of the civic leadership development program dedicated to making transformational change across the city and the region.
These leaders come from the corporate, nonprofit, philanthropic, government and education sectors, and were chosen for their professional accomplishments, leadership skills, ability to influence positive change, and their commitment to the Chicago region.
“As a fellow with Leadership Greater Chicago, I bring [a unique] perspective and will be well-positioned to partner with leaders to address critical challenges,” McCord said in a statement. “I strive for my work in both social work, direct practice, and administration to reflect my values: a dedication to better understanding the human experience, building upon and enhancing human capacity, and creating safe environments for exploration and examination.”
MPI Executive Director Vaughn Bryant said, “Domonique is a daughter of Chicago’s west side. She has the professional expertise and a lived experience to make a real impact on her cohort members. As an LGC alum and colleague, I am confident Domonique will bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom, as well as a hunger to learn from fellow leaders.”
Metropolitan Family Services President and CEO Ric Estrada, a Distinguished Fellow, added, “Leadership Greater Chicago has a proven track record of supporting and helping to mold innovative leaders across a number of fields in this great city of Chicago. Domonique is one of those stand-out leaders. The care and attention she brings to her work every day at Metropolitan Peace Initiatives is evident in the individuals and communities she touches.”
During the ten-month program, fellows will be immersed in major socioeconomic issues facing Chicago and will sit in on full-day seminars, neighborhood visits, conversations with subject matter experts, and social events.
“More than 40 years ago, the Signature Fellows Program was established to convene a diverse group of cross-sector professionals to explore and understand the issues facing the region, facilitate connections and friendships among these leaders and inspire a deep personal commitment to civic engagement, effecting positive change in the Greater Chicago Region,” said LGC Chief Executive Officer Myetie Hamilton.
“I look forward to working with the exemplary leaders selected for the LGC Signature Fellows Class of 2025 to elevate impact across every sector and in every corner of the Chicago Region.”
Founded in 1983, LGC serves as one of the region’s top conveners of effective leaders in their pursuit of driving change in their respective fields.
