Join MPI & CP4P at the City Club of Chicago for a Panel Discussion on Community Violence Intervention

City Club of Chicago is set to host a panel discussion entitled “Community Violence Intervention: How the Metropolitan Peace Initiatives are Saving Lives and Reducing Gun Violence in Chicago’s Highest Risk Neighborhoods” on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Maggiano’s Banquets (111 W. Grand Ave.) in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.

Moderated by Metropolitan Peace Initiatives’ (MPI) Executive Director Vaughn Bryant, the program will highlight the ways in which the organization is doing its part to save lives, keep the city safe, and help community members heal from trauma.

Panelists will include MPI Senior Field Manager Jesus Salazar, Claretian Associates CEO Angela Hurlock, and Research Professor of Northwestern University’s Center for Neighborhood Engaged Research & Science (CORNERS) Soledad Adrianzén McGrath.

MPI, a division of Metropolitan Family Services, convenes Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P), a network of 13 community-based organizations focused on reducing gun violence in 27 of Chicago’s highest-risk neighborhoods.

Doors open for the event at 11:30 a.m. with the panel and lunch beginning at 12 p.m.

Tickets for the panel start at $85 for non-members of City Club of Chicago and member prices start at $65. Tables for groups are also available for purchase.
