CVI Saves Lives: Advocate for Federal Funding During National Day of Action

A banner saying 'Protect CVI.'

Community Violence Intervention (CVI) saves lives, strengthens communities, and prepares the next generation for a safer, more peaceful future. It’s a strategy that’s been proven to work nationwide; in Chicago, we’ve seen CVI efforts prevent hundreds of homicides and shootings across the city. Now, we must do our part to protect it.

In response to the Department of Justice’s recent decision to cut nearly $1 billion in CVI grants, organizations across the country are uniting to demand action.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, CVI leaders, advocates, organizations, survivors, and supporters from across the nation will come together—in-person and virtually—for a CVI National Day of Action. Collectively, we’ll address the impact of these cuts and share what’s at stake.

Stand in solidarity with CVI professionals nationwide to call for the restoration of critical federal funding.
